etnies 2008 Fall SEED Collection

The ongoing topics around the world have revolved immensely around issues such as rising costs of oil, food and global warming. With global warming and the environmental condition of the world at stake, etnies have initiated another collection of environmentally friendly and sustainable products under the SEED collection. Although its always difficult to forge ahead a partnership based on consumer aspects and environmental sustainability, etnies has done their part via the use of organic and recycled materials as well as incorporating messages of preservation and conservation into their designs. The products will begin rolling out July 2008.

Harold Hunter Day II – May 17th 2008 – Recap

This past weekend marked the second instance of Harold Hunter Day in New York. The event was fruitful with over 500 skaters in attendance, kicking it for 6 hours of pure skating with numerous skate celebrities in attendance from Chad Muska, The Gonz, to Billy Rohan, Rodney Torres, Vinny Ponte, Todd Jordan, Jeff Pang, and others. People of age would continue the festivites later that night at KCDC Skateshop which included a continuation of beats from DJ Nice Neil as well as various mini ramp sessions. All images via Grotesk.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was one of Matthew Broderick’s first films that first debuted more than two decades ago in 1986. Since it has be come a cross generational classic routinely in the top lists of DVD sales of 1980’s films. The movie later became a TV series that starred Jennifer Anniston pre-Friends and was the inspiration for the ska band’s name “Save Ferris.”

Nike SB has drawn inspiration in the past from icons of the eighties in the past with shoes taking cues from Pee Wee Herman, Vanilla Ice, and Milli Vanilli to name a few. Much attention to detail was used when designing the Ferris Bueller Dunk Highs with a leopard print tongue and laces to match his vest, grey toe cap to hook to his pants, and the cream and brown that are on the jacket Ferris wears.

British Knights Returns

British Knights is bringing back the exact late 80’s look and style that caused the brand to be one of the most popular among the young urban trend setting guys of that time. From the brand’s first sneaker launch in 1985 through the early ‘90’s BK rose to the highest levels of the athletic footwear industry. These meticulous replications, the identical sole mold to the precise matching of signature BK prints, elicit the retro feeling of the extreme late 80’s.

British Knights are also teaming up with leading industry designers to produce innovative, cutting edge cooperations. BK and Gio Chiappetta (Pro Wolf Master) are debuting a sneaker in May called the “Purple Wizard Moccasin”. A vibrant purple based graphic hi top- an ’89 shoe redesign in ‘08. The intelligence behind the design, Gio Chiappetta, says, “The materials and colors used are all reminiscent of the BK legacy… with a contemporary twist. It’s simple… a leather shoe with funky canvas detail. I guess you could say this shoe is a commentary on the state of the street/sneaker culture and what I love. I like wierd.”

May 1, 2008 will initiative the launch of the first 4 1989 classic BK styles as well as the ‘Purple Wizard Moccasin’ shoe by Gio Chiappetta(Pro Wolf Master), followed on June 15, 2008 with the next four shoes from the ’89 collection.

GTA IV

It’s Finally out !!!!! The Long awaited Grand Theft Auto IV is out now and it’s insane how much they put in this game. If you thought Gta San andreas had a lot of missions , side missions, and games then think again. GTA IV has so many more things you can do. Here’s a few that i have found so far , you can play darts, pool , and even go bowling . They also have a full on internet in the game with fun websites to check out and you get an e-mail to accept missions with . In GTA IV your also equipped with a cell that gets text messages, stores numbers, and ringtones . This Game was worth the wait . There myspace page is also very cool with lots of downloads . New Side Job

I got a new side job today and i totally wasn’t looking for one. I went to a meeting today at sharkeez’s in Huntington beach with Josh. We were there so he could talk to the owner about working on a Pr job to help bring more business into the resturant and Jordan the owner mentioned that they need someone to take photos for there Themed events and Josh mentioned that I’m a Photographer and volia i got a side. My first post

Hey so this is my first post and I’m just letting everyone know right out the gate that I’m not the greatest writer and i have a lot gamatical errors . So feel free to correct me but please be kind.
